Last week was our BYU recruiter fair. It was honestly the most exciting, nerve-racking, and though provoking experience of my life. I suddenly realized that I would soon be graduating. Which means, no more summers in Alaska, no more school or BYU or structure. I can live where ever I want to, do whatever I want to do.
I talked with RGA, Leo Burnett and Y&R at the recruiter fair, three agencies I respect a lot for their work and that I would love to work for some day in the near future. It was difficult talking to them though, because I wanted to immediately jump on the opportunities they were presenting, without even thinking about things like, ‘Do I want to live in Chicago or New York?’ or ‘Do I know anyone who lives in these places?’ I realized, during last week, that I still have a lot to think about. But I am excited for the future.
Next week I will know which agency I will be working for in New York! We also had a meeting last week with the internship program to talk about the trip. I am so excited.
And last, but certainly not least, my Hobbit friends finally have their tickets to New Zealand. They are going on February 9th. I am so excited. I can’t give away too many details yet, just in case things don’t work out, but it sounds like they might end up being extras after all. I can’t believe that after all our hard work, it’s really happening. We used social media, and we rallied the fans and they are going to New Zealand. My only regret, is that I can’t go with them to see the project through. But, you know, I had a hand in getting them there, and that’s what the project was all about, so I am satisfied.
Well, until next time.
